Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention in a particular way, on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgementally. MBSR is a tool that helps us to cultivate a moment-to-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, body sensations, and surrounding environment.
More than Relaxation
While many people find mindfulness meditation relaxing, MBSR is more than just a way to unwind. Mindfulness is about being aware of what is happening, in this moment. By helping us to intentionally guide our attention, the skills learned in our MBSR course can have positive effects on many areas of health and wellness.
